John - last year I picked up from a gun show - I think it was an M-38 - re-arsenalled and a mere $59!!

Wood finish is great - better than expected.

I think it is called a Mosin Flame thrower and blast destruction device. If the flame does not get you the blast does. Great guns by the way.

Snag all three basic Mosins, the M38 carbine, the M44 carbine with attachted pigsticker, and the 91/30 rifle. They are still dirt cheap for excellent examples, and a lot of fun. As gas prices drive everything up, now is the time, well, actually, last week was the time, but get them while you can, and a couple of cases of cheap ammo.
Fun, accurate, and a "blast"!

I love my 91/30 but man does it tare the hell out of my shoulder after about 20 rds.
