Glock 23 and 37 Info

Have both. Prefer the 23 for CC. The 37 makes an excellent range gun and, if I put a little effort into it, can be concealed without too much trouble. My 37 is accurate and has been reliable. Ditto for the 23. I just happen to prefer the 19, 23, 32 frame size. And, yes, I do have a G38, but haven't had the chance to get it to the range yet. I'm sure it would be as exemplary as my other Glocks, but at 8 round capacity, I think I'd still prefer at least a 23 or 32

Hi there,

I have owned a G-23 for almost 10 years now and enjoy shooting it very much.

The G-23 was the first pistol I bought for concealed carry here in SC and I took the CWP course with it and qualified with it. The reason I purchased it was the size, capacity and calibre comparison with other pistols within the same size of pistol. It is of course extremely reliable and capable of great combat accuracy.

I like the 2nd generation G-23 that I own better than the newer 3rd generation because my fingers do not properly index on the grip with the grooves molded into the grip.

The recoil is a bit snappy in the G-23 compared to a steel framed pistol in the .40 S&W calibre, but it is not carried for a slow fire target pistol and I believe that I have previously stated that it is the best combination of capacity (13 rounds), size (medium grip frame) and calibre (.40 S&W).

Best of luck in your search,

Chris

My first handgun was a Glock 23. I've been very pleased with it. It fits me well and it's a good balance between size, capacity, and power. I recommend shooting one before you buy, but they are great guns.

Carried and fired both a lot. Sure like th Glock 37, I sold both the Glock 23 and Glock 22 after using the Glock 37. The Glock 37 is low pressure, easy to shoot, accurate, nice recoil , I just like the 45 GAP and don't care for the S&W .40. To each his own !:)
