It's Christmas time and that means a lot to me in my life. It means peace, love, goodwill towards men, giving and ZOMBIES!!!!!! Ok at any rate it means giving so what I have here is some good ole' fashioned Zombie Christmas KARMA. :D

KARMA is something that popped up over on the SIG forum as a way of giving back and just having some fun by giving stuff away from time to time. It has since taken on a life of it's own and is great fun. I figured I would include you guys in on this one since we all loves us some zombie killin' :D

What I have to offer is a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide By Max Brooks. I saw it at a local book store and knew it had to be KARMA for the gunnies. You will however have to work for it.

In order to be elligible you must post a picture of your best zombie killin' hardware with a zombie movie zomwhere in the picture.

I am going to make this available on The SIG Forum as well so there will be plenty of competition.

RULES
If you are a member here and The SIG Forum you many only post once. Honor system please.

You must post a picture of your zombie killin' hardware and a favorite zombie movie.

As per all KARMA the winner will pay absolutely nothing. No shipping, No handling, No batteries required.

I will pick a random winner as soon as I finish paging through the book. Let's call it December 19th, my birthday.

Merry Christmas and let the games begin.

Here is a picture of the goods. John Moses there stays with me though. :D I know it's not much but hey I thought it would be fun.

For anyone who hasn't read it...

This is well worth it. The definitive guide to surviving when the dead walk. (ie - post a pic if you've got it :D )

If only I had a camera to post myself with my axe and trench spikes...:(

I would put in an entry with my Winchester ala "Shawn of the Dead" except that I've already got the book too. :D

+1 on it being a great read, quite informative and entertaining at the same time. Also great for planning a general SHTF plan!

OK, I'll play. Thanks for the contest! :)

For the rare medium range shots on lone zombies at a distance, I've got the Mini-30 which shoots zombie-tearing 7.62x39.

But everyone knows that the primary defense against zombies comes from short-range shotgun blasts, so natch, that's what I focused on. 12-gauge and plenty of ammo (00 Buckshot and Slugs). When they get too close for comfort, I've got 10 rounds of .45 waiting to be deposited in their heads (or brain stem, whichever's presented). If I'm overrun (or run out of ammo :uhoh: ), I can slash away until my last breath with a Sog X-Ray Vision. The partial serrations work wonders on decomposing flesh.

I can't believe no one has "dead alive". I challenge anyone to name a movie with more blood. Heck, if anyone can name a movie that has more blood than in the last 5 minutes of "Dead Alive" ALONE I'd be surprised.

Anyway, great thread.

Aw, I forgot the zombie movie. Oh well, all I have is Resident Evil anyway. Manufactured zombies don't count (unless they're the result of nuclear waste).

Tom Savini's The Ripper. Pretty darn gory.

If you're going by mass, I think the gross tonnage of blood that pours out of the elevator in The Shining is going to be your blue ribbon winner. =)

Mmmm...maybe...but there is a deluge of blood on that level that pours out of a giant zombie at the end of Dead Alive. That scene plus the one where the hero straps on a lawn mower and walks through a room full of zombies might put it over the top. That doesn't even take into account, a preacher who knows kung fu "I kick ass for the Lord!" and a narcissistic intestinal track. Haha. That movie is rediculous.

Alright.

Here's my zombie survival kit (excuse the poor image quality):

As you can see, I only have one gun so far (youngin' in California), so I've attempted to make up for it by including part of my sword collection. The gun is a Mauser 1909. My girlfriend's mother gave it to me...for free...out of the blue. I was excited to say the least. Take note of the small serrated brass knuckles with folding blades under the swords. Oh yes and you may notice a chain of .308...I don't have anything that will shoot that, it's just for effect. At the bottom of the screen is what appears to be a large club. In reality it is...well...it IS a large club. It has razor-sharp blades along the sides for optimum zombie skull splitting effect. At the top left of the screen is a large wooden shield to go along with the club.

Lets take a look at the last resort pile:

If it comes down to it, and my situation takes a turn for the worst, I have my "waiting until the end" pile. This includes a bottle of "Bawls" soda, a good cob pipe, and a pair of Robo-grip pliers.

Oh yeah, and my zombie movie in this picture is "Army of Darkness".

The only thing missing from my ZSHTF arsenal is the survival guide. ;)

I'm ready for both the zombie invasion and a kicking good time.

Obviously I can't enter, but I had to set the bar. :D

Hmmmm.

Well - I've not read the survival guide yet, so I have to go with my best guess for the zombie kit. :)

I'm kind of figuring that 10-20 rounds of .223 to CM should at least slow one down.

Gotta go with the AR with the Beta C-mag - 100 rounds of zombie stopping power and the Eotech to make those zombie headshots quick and easy!

Well, my kids just gave me a PS2, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code-Veronica as an early Christmas present. So far, in RE Code- Veronica, twin MAC-10s (one in each hand) are doing quite a job.
