The Beginning of a matching set..

had asked if anyone had any matching sets.... well heres mine..
a Sal Daquila musashi katana from www.pointgallery.com . a one of a kind version of it mounted on a paul chen Bushido katana blade of folded powdered steel.
A Ruger Mark 2 with grips that match!

I hinted at a set like this over on the springfield forum, so lets just say that this ruger is just the first in a series that will receive similar grips...

I just wanted to update this with some information
I have expanded my Musashi inspired set....

So far what we have is :
Ruger MK II: Stock setup. custom grips by Gungrips.net, these are a newer set than the ones pictured above to match the two sets of wicked grips..

Springfield Champion: Custom gunsmithing by Marc Morganti of Gemini customs. Custom Grips by Wicked Grips.

Wilson Tactical 1911 Bowie: Custom high polished. Custom Grips by Wicked Grips.

Soon to come is some custom gunleather by Lou Alessi AND a customized Springfield Ultra Compact that will match the set as well...

Also, i did a build up on a Ruger 10/22..... a bullpup conversion from Dixie Consolodated with a Pearce Grips 1911 - AR15 grip to allow for the use of custom etched alumi-grips...

That's because some of us are in awe... very nice.

It's always good to personalize your weapons - hearkens back to the old days of firearms and weapons in general.
 
Good choice on the blade. Big fan of Paul Chen....and Miyamoto Musashi for that matter.

Did you design the pistol grips yourself? I like them, but an idea you might have thought of. Have your grips carved out of same material as the sword handle, in the same design. That, my friend, would be a killer matching set. ( Pun intended :D )
 
yeh that crossed my mind, to have them relief carved........ but even tho this is a "matching" set...... i still wanted the guns to sorta stand on their own

yes, check out the first picture at the top......... its just from my favorite sword.... so im basically carrying my sword passion over to my gun passion..

i stay awake and night thinking of guns i could put that image on..
