I love 22's and when I first joined this and other forums, it was the first thing that came to mind. I also use "slingshot" on a couple of forums for a little variety.

It's the one my parents gave me but never used...

When I tried to join an internet forum some years ago it was already taken! So I tacked on some letters until I got something that was available. Then I just kept using it.

grew up in the midwest, you could legally shoot any cat that was 200 yards away from a building. i followed this with a vengence.anyway, somewhere i had heard of ferel cats called ditchtigers, sounded great and have used it

Well, this is a gun forum, so my name is a variation of one of my favorite guns - a Series 70 Gold Cup.

The only breed of dog I have ever owned or my parents have ever owned, or my grandparents had ever owned.

I did a family tree search to find my ancestry, the trail went cold in of all places... Rottweil Germany, weird huh?

I have been active in politics since I was a 10 year old. Luckily I still embrace the conservative politics my grandparents and parents instilled in me at a young age. My friends nicknamed me the GOPkid (as in Grand Old Party)when I was about 13. Now at age 43 with my own kids, my son who is now 13 is very interested in politics. So when he plays trivia at say a Damons or something like that he plays as GOP Kid and I play as GOPGuy. I guess when he hits 20 I will let him become GOPGuy and I will be GOPGeezer :D

My Daughter is GOPGirl and my Wife GOPGal. We have the whole Republican angle covered.

Normally I would try to get Ian as that is my name but you already had an Ian on the forum.

ESB are the initials of my blog about shooting in England called An English Shooters Blog hence ESB.

Watches

I collect and repair inexpensive mechanical watches. Before I knew what to look for, I accidentally bought a counterfeit Seiko 5 from Ebay. When I got it, discovered that the rotor was engraved "Sevesteen Jewels", and the movement was one of the very cheapest, crappiest Chinese automatics--Sort of like ordering a Taurus and getting a Hi-Point with Taurus markings. I did what I could to hassle the seller, and kept the name to use on watch forums.

In the mid-90s I was one of the networking geeks in my circle of friends, a go-to guy for setting up LAN parties and such. Back then, 10BASE-2 and 10BASE-T were the Ethernet implementations of choice...somehow it stuck...

my initials and my old MOS.

On another board I use my old nickname...cookiemonster...my tank always had plenty of oatmeal cookies, mountain dew and other types of pogy bait. :)

After 4-5 days in Area Mud around Schwienfurt or other kinds of TCPC courses and FTX's I started feeling almost like a pimp.
