How accurate is....

The length of the barrel has nothing to do with the mechanical accuracy of a weapon. On the other hand a short barrel equals a short sight radius; which does have an effect on the practical accuracy of the weapon. Short butt, long butt; doesn't matter. It all depends on what "you" can hold onto.

The barrel just has to be long enough for the rifling to stabilize the bullet.

Additionally, a shorter rigid barrel will be more accurate than a longer whippy barrel as it will not be as affected by vibration as the bullet travels down the bore. Of course this is assuming that the short rigid barrel is long enough for the rifling to stabilize the bullet.

Many say that the Glock 26 is the most accurate of the standard Glocks. I can't say though, every Glock I've ever shot have been pretty accurate. But I've never used a Ranson rest or similar device to check.

Six inches at 25y will work for most anything I want my G26 to do. If you want tighter groups, try this. One, get some good ammo - my personal best groups have been shot with Gold Dots. Two, black out the white outline rear sight with a Magic Marker. Some times the white outline keeps you from focusing on the front sight.

6" groups at 25 yards from a G26 sounds about right. I'm sure they can shoot better than that in a vise but its a Glock for God's sake not a Star Firestar.
