I'm simple minded... Nothing like some nice, pretty pictures of 1911's to make me want to go spend more money on one. :D I'll start: although I feel a warning is in order. I am not a photographer by any means.

This is my Auto Ordnance 1911A1 - Nothing special, just some Hogue rubber finger grips on it. It does, however, look 10x better now than it did with those ugly brown plastic factory grips. Thinking about trading this one in towards a Springfield Loaded model.

OK, I'll bite...

(Didn't we just have a thread like this...?... Or do I just belong to too many forums...?)

Couldn't load TWO photos, apparently...

Here's the second one... Finally. (had to re-do the file to get it to show. Weird.)

I think the last 1911 picture thread lasted for like 7 pages and three weeks.

But that was a long time ago.. I love these picture threads!

The favorite thing i've ever bought for a 1911... Strider/Simonich Gunner Grips:

Here's the Mil-spec. Not a great pic, but i'll get a better one with my three other 1911's when I get a chance.

Here's the whole family. Left to right, top to bottom. Springer Hi-Cap, Springer LW Champion, Springer Mil-Spec, and the mutt of the family, a Fed-Ord frame with a Colt slide.

Here is my "new" S&W commander. Thanks to deezulsmoke at Ontarget Custom Gun works. All kinds of goodies on the inside, prototype grips from VZ, crowned barrel, Cobra Coated slide and frame, and Bob Tailed. I hope to have it back from deezul next week! :D I've got to quit drooling on the keyboard. :D

Beautiful pictures

Wow. Some true works of art here, as far as pistols go. Very impressive! I especially love the old original Colt models, but some of those custom 1911's are incredible - hard to decide which I like most!

1911 pics

Did you want us to show them one at a time like so......

Or did you want us to just show them all off in one picture?

(I hate showing off)

i love how SA plasters the TRP with the word tactical. like you don't already know that....

Thanks for the productive post. Its a good thing you pointed that out it might have slipped by the rest of us

did I hit a little to close to home with that one?

(edited for un-highroad comments typed in a moment of infuriation)

nice SA... do you have the older style blocky front strap or the recontoured one?

i've got an old blocky one and am thinking about having it recontoured and checkered
