There was a 1911 carbine (Karabiner) variant, which was closer to the later K-31 in overall length. There was also the true 1911 rifle, which was this long with 30.7" barrel (my own specimen): The picture Jack19 linked to above is the sister to my own 1911 standard-length rifle. As shown in the excellent Schmidt-Rubin website listed above, this is the true K-11, or Model 1911 carbine, with 23.5" barrel: Don't confuse the two...
