What gun is in your nightstand?

Wow..that's impressive. It looks like some of you guys have a full armory in a drawer. I have a serious question, do you guys have heavy hardwood doors with double bolts and bullet proof glass on your windows(lower level at least)? (I live on the second floor and I have sliding bolts on my doors) I figure the first thing to do if you want to protect your family is to prevent the guy from getting inside your house. I saw this guy on TV who packed a pistol for home defense and he had a sliding window door on the first floor! I was thinking jeez he better have bullet proofed that window or else of all things to invite someone to break in through.

Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum (4 inch) with Winchester Supreme 400gr silver tip hollow points. I have a special compartment. Just press a button and it slides out. With a pair of draws and shoes close by.
Learned about a week or so ago, at about 11:30 pm. By instinct, I grabbed it and gone outside to attend to an unwelcome, surprising visitor on my property. At the time I was not concerned if I had any attire on.
Yes sir, that would hurt, besides putting on one of the
best fireworks displays in town..I bet that was a sight
standing there in your BDay suit with that lil howitzer
in hand. ;)

All I have is my ole trusty Ser 80 GM with Golden Saber
185 HP's in it and the spare mag. Oh that along with
mid-size mouse traps at the windows and doors at
night. They make a pretty loud noise when sprung.

Springfield XD-45 with 14 rounds of .45 ACP 230gr Speer Gold Dots on tap.

The Mossberg 500 with 7 in the magazine and the chamber empty is under the bed.

I used to have a Glock 19 with 15 rounds of 9mm 135gr Gold Dots, but sold that for the XD.

Sig P 226 .40 loaded with Fed Hydra Shok near the bed, and a winchester 1300 loaded with buckshot under the bed. depends on which side of the bed i wake up on as to which i would go for. both are very accessible.

Witness 10MM full size with Winchester 175gr. Silver Tips, two extra 15 rnd mags, Mossberg Persuader hung on bedpost w/ #4 buck and just in case an old 380 pistol of no value if you get my drift.

Yes, it does get fiery (first time I shot it at night). That’s because of the ports (sides and top) on the comp.
I only used one round. He was hiding behind a tree. I fired at the tree. Fortunate, for him, he (I guess) ducked to the side (last moment), unhurt… while getting up with his hands to his side, palms facing me. He said: “Wait! Wait!, my dog, I’m looking for my dog!” (I) didn’t say anything. While walking over to him, cocking the revolver, the guy takes a leap over the fence and takes off. At that point he’s not on my property anymore, and nothing in hands.
Yes, I got to hear (from my wife) about how I rushed out in the back with gun in hand, thinking your (I'm) “Adonis”.

Glock 17 with Glock light afixed to rail backed up by the daily carry gun, currently a S&W 642. Reload for both and a rechargeable mag light.

Here's what's right underneath my bed. PX4 .40 caliber, TLR-1 tac light, 165gr Speer gold dots.

The Cannon

double barrel 12 guage, 18 in barrel pistol grip, one shell buck shot, one shell rock salt....bleed and burn!!!

Glock 27 (my carry gun) & Taurus .357 on either side of the bed, 3watt luxeon LED flashlight (The lady is more comfortable with the revolver). My dog is a big sissy and wouldn't hurt anyone, so it's pretty much up to me. Oh and I also live in a virtually crime free part of town, but I'm not so silly as to rely on that for my household's saftey.

Fun thead...

357 Rossi Revolver, stainless, 6 shot.

Strange, but this gun fits my hand better than any handgun I've ever held.

No night stand, but under the bed

XD45 .45 cal 13+1
Remington 870 Police Magnum 3" with surefire tac light
Walther P22 my gun, but for my lady's use

Not pictured is a .38 special colt revolver at an undisclosed location

Kimber TLE/RL II, chambered with Fed Hydra-Shoks; and my carry gun, S&W Mod 637 in .38 loaded with Speer GoldDot +P, along with the Streamlight Stinger XTHP. Under the bed is the .270, .223, and the 20 ga.

Mossberg 500 with 5 rounds of .00 buck. I can't be bothered with things like aiming before my eyes start to focus.

I have a model 500 Mossberg loaded with #4 Buck I use #4 because there is less chance of over penetration than OO Buck.

Mossberg 500 holding 7 shells, 2 #7.5 turkey shells will cycle in first and then 5 00buck are waiting next in the magazine. I live in an apartment and like being able to choose not to take out a wall if the angle is bad, and I can just cycle out the #7.5's if I need to skip to the 00.

Also a 3 d-cell mag light, and whichever pistol I was carrying that day, either my Cheetah or my G27. Cheetah usually has 10 Golden Sabers in it and the Glock usually has 9 Federal Hydra-Shoks or Gold Dots, depending on what I ran out of at the range.

Edit: In the picture the black 12 gauge shells are the game loads and the red 2 3/4 shells are the 00 buck - you can also see the 3'' rifled slugs, but I just keep them around in case I need to take out a UFO or something. :)
