Two days for me, since I normally go every Sunday. One of the employees at my favorite gunshop asked me "You're there every week? Religiously?"

I answered, "Yup, every Sunday."

I made a vow that if I ever go more than two weeks without shooting a gun, I would turn all my guns in to the California DoJ :uhoh: . Of course, that was before the city of Azusa decided to close down my favorite shooting range.

I try to go every week. Wasn't able to last week. Going this week. I think my shoulder has recovered from 150-rds of 8mm out of a Mauser with a steel buttplate to try some more. God I love shooting FAL's in comparison. 280rds and all I feel is regret that I didn't bring another battlepack of SA. 8)

I get there every Friday (rain or shine--outside range, with cover on the line).
One week rifles, next pistols.
It is the reason I look forward to Friday (as I do like my job).

My wife and I try to go every week.

We last went on Sunday...we took a friend who had never shot before and her boyfriend who has only been shooting once in the last 20-some years (that one time was with us a month ago).

We'll be going tonight to try out the Remington 700 that she bought off a friend of ours who came into town for a visit.

2 weeks. outdoor range. The bad news is that the city has sent a cease and desist letter to the range that I go to all the time.

Just checked on up them yesterday and the range is unsure of what is going to happen.

its been several months if you don't count the severly lacking little shooting area I use in my uncles back yard.

It keeps me from having withdrawls but it is most definatly lacking. Hopefully in a week or two I will be able to get to a range I have been meaning to go to. Problem is its only open to the public on friday saturday and sunday and I often work those days.

it's been two weeks saturday, and won't get to go again until the weekend after that at the earilest, there ain'tmany ranges around here. and the one on post is only open on the weekens and not all weekends.:banghead:

ceetee>All of them make you buy their ammo at their prices, or you can't
ceetee>shoot. They inspect your gear to make sure you're not sneaking in
ceetee>any of your own ammo.

Sounds like Russia. I'd drive 5 hours rather then give those pricks a penny of my hard earned money.

Every friday , rain or shine . Even shovel a path during the winter if need be . Rare to not shoot at least once a week , have even worked in a quick session just before going to my friends wedding.

Yesterday - sighted in the Swede at 100 yds (scope got bumped during recent move, was just like starting over with a new scope), and ripped off a few rounds with the .44 Marlin 1894 until I got a stuck case and didn't have a dowel with me to knock it out. All in all it was a good trip. Next week the Marlin and the FAL get to go with me. My range has 50, 100, 150 and 200 yd positions (plus pistol, archery and skeet) and is about 5 miles from my house. $25/year membership. :D There are benefits to living in the country.

Every day at my home range.

Off the deck or covered porch weather is bad, in the winter from the walkout cellar window.

Went saturday on my way in to work, short trip (30-40 minutes, all handgun work).

I'll be stopping at the range to do some work with my carry gun this afternoon.

Hopefully I will be able to get out and do some rifle work in the next few weeks--its been over 3 months. (I'm not as prone to have extended range sessions outdoors during South Carolina summers)

Until a few years ago I was in the same boat. Did not shoot as much as I wanted too.
Since then I have a part time job at the local shooting range/gun store.
Now I shoot every week at least twice/ 150-300 rounds of various calibers.:) :) :) :) .

Even though it is a "Job "- it is my hobby and I get to talk guns about 16 hours a week and get paid for it.

The only problem is I am always tempted to buy something and I have spent all the extra money I have earned.:D

Five days since my last visit- I get next week off and after a trip to Kentucky to see two of the four grandkids, I'll be at the range at the crack of dawn every damn day!!!- Grandkids are great, but the range is the range!!!

An hour. There just ain't nothin more fun than a .22 autoloader!:D

I was there yesterday too. I try to go once a week. Some weeks I don't make it. Some, like this one, find me there twice. I don't yet have the decades of experience some of the good folks here do, so I need as much practice as I can get.

It has been 1 day since I have been to the range...

I went yesterday on my lunch break... It's good to have the range within 5 minutes of your job:D . Didn't do too bad of a job also:cool: ! A nice guy gave me some ss109 ammo to try out of my 1/9 twist Bushmaster, and I couldn't use my red dot because the battery was practically dead, and I had no spares:fire: . I tried out a new 20 round pro-mag that works great with 19 rounds, but the 20th jammed against the front of the mag and got set back when I tried to load it. Just bought another one though, and some spare batteries and ammo. I may give the AR pistol some exercise tommorrow;) .

Two weeks. Went out after a long time, almost a year since the last trip. Was too busy with work and school. Took the P-3AT which had been sitting loaded the whole time and the K-22. I was pleased that the Kel-tec functioned flawlessly with the two mags that were loaded plus 8 more. Ever since it's trip back to the factory after I first got I've never had a single hiccup with it shooting Black Hills 90 gr JHP's. I went at dusk so it got dark while I was there. Since I had the range to myself I turned of the flood lights to practice some low light (moonlight) shooting, meant to bring my defense light but I forgot it, and was pleased with the results of 6 out of 7 rounds on a paper plate with one just off it at 7 paces.

The K-22 is just too much fun for words. It's more accurate than I will probably ever be.

Public Range: I forgot, I broke off and went rogue too many years ago.
Private Places : hehehe...my world, my favorite.

How long?
Tonight.
Been back just a bit.Just a lady friend and I. We waited until dark. Just two lone light bulbs for "ambient lighting". Sometimes turned one one off. We shot clays with white /orange/ green targets. I set up the trap to throw clays at us, like a Tueller drill.
We shot low light using CCW. Used shotgun to see how fast we could run them steel targets painted dove gray. We set up steel discs and then used CCW to shoot.

Nice here tonight, a bit cool. Felt good to shoot, felt good to be on the ground doing downed drills.

Yeah, I/we like these out in the middle of nowhere places...

There every Sunday, except last weekend. Volunteered at Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days at Silver Springs State Park.

This Sunday will be a "two-fer" !!!

The kids and I will go to the "Sportsmens" (Gun) show at the DuPage county fairgrounds in the late morning, followed by a afternoon at the range for some trap, skeet and .22 plinking.

Life is good.

To my surprise, my wife pointed out I have not been to the range since I paid my club dues this year...then pointed out I've really not had opportunity to go! Maybe I can go Sept. 30 ...cool! thats tomorrow! I think I'll go load my range bag RIGHT NOW! :D
Sounds like that monthly "to do" list is a great idea. I've got ammo just taking up space on the shelf.
Mark.
