Yes, Ive used it in my kimber 1911. It jammed constantly and the laquer coating on the steel cases melted in the chamber and it was kind of hard to get off.

Newer Wolf is polymer coated, not laquer coated.

I recently shot 100 rounds of the "new" Wolf (polymer coat) .45...it went bang every time, but it was very very dirty. I think CCI blazer is a better value for "cheap" non-reloadable ammo.

never used it in my handguns but that is only because i reload and i like all the brass i can get, but i have a ton of it now , so if i ever come across some wolf ammo at a good deal that isn't the same or more than the other brands of brass cased i shoot then i will be more than happy to shoot it.
I do shoot it in my sks, ak, and my ar-15, no problems at all as a matter of fact the 154gr sp is the most accurate ammo i have found in the caliber of 7.62x39 in my ak.

Most of that Russian stuff is loud, smokey, and really really dirty. They also tend to have really hard primers which could lead to slow-fires or failure to fires. Most of the stuff I've shot was like that. You should really consider WWB (Winchester White Box) from Wal*Mart. 100rds of .45 runs you about $17 which is great and it gets cheaper as you go down in caliber size.

Actually the Wold .45ACP is boxer primed and reloadable. I pick mine up at the range and reload them for when I shoot at my buddies ranch where I'll loose nearly 100% of the brass.

When Wolf was ~$120 and everthing else was $180+ per case, I shot a lot of it, but now that Wolf is $185+ and I can find brass cased ammo for $200-$220 per case I've stopped buying it. The way I see it you can easily sell your empties at a gun show for $40-50 per thousand so unless Wolf is at least that much cheaper its not a great buy.

I've probably 20 cases of the stuff the past few years. Had the worse luck with the .40S&W as the extra friction in the polymer coated cases causes the rounds to bind many magazines. Same problems in double stack 45s. Was fine in 9mm but I could buy 9mm CCI Blazer cheaper so I didn't shoot Wolf 9mm unless the Blazer was out of stock.

I've shot thousands of rounds of Wolf, both laquer and poly, with no issues in 9 and 45. A little on the dirty side, but that didn't cause any issues.

Dirty ammo is a pain, but steel cases are the real problem. Chamber wear is a risk with extensive use. I'll stick to other cheap ammo that uses brass.

Use it my AK all the time. I would not use Steel cased ammo in my hanguns.. IMO
