My favorite in .45-70!

hmmm no one shoots them if memory servers there has been more deer takein down with lever action guns then almost any other type of action in america

o yes side note i wish you would of made this thread 3 weeks from now when i get my new marlin 336 with a stainless steel finish

Nice pics guys. I really want a lever action, not sure what to get though. I don't know why, but theres something about LAs that are just so hardy.

Can't really go wrong with any of the levers.

It is a fine rifle, and has done absolutely nothing to me to justify me shooting a perfectly good firearm.

I'm going to get a Marlin 336 in .30-30 this year - great pics guys!

Not a problem at all. (It's got a limbsaver pad under the buttstock cover.)
Felt recoil is definitely less than my shotguns.

Mine's a Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum. Great brush gun and good companion to the Ruger NM Super Blackhawk in same caliber.

but I just bought two new levers in two weeks.

Marlin 39A and Marlin 336A.

The latter just came in yesterday.
I've got a pic of the former,
but not of the latter.
So I'll just wait until I can post both together.
(Coming soon, but I don't have the energy at the moment...)

Going to shoot both at the range Saturday.

They are not very good pictures but I have a Puma(Rossi) 1892 in 45 Colt and a 1951 model Winchester 94 in 30.30win.
