Youll never truly succeed in getting rid of false advertising like this. Advertisement is nothing BUT false lies and myths aimed direactly at the people most susceptible to manipulation.
The legal issue here is that the Brady Bunch has used a well known actress to use her telivision charecters built in "wholesomeness, and caring, and emotional interest as a gynocologist/pediatrician" to lure less intelligent people to join the fight against firearms.
Yes sadly enough people do think that the doctor shows, soap operas, etc are actual events in the lives of REAL people. Thats one reason why ER still has such a huge following.
Second is that brady bunch does indeed use false information to come up with their "8 children aday statistics" using such wonderful ideas of "gun violence" as:
Unhappy 18/19 year old suicding with mommas 38, 16 year old susie blows her foot off while squirel hunting, and so on.
And finally in modern hollywood you have to play the political line of "guns bad, cops bashing in the wrong door and gunning down old women is good" policy.
