This is last week testing out some new loadings...5 Round groups are the norm for testing or seeing performance.. 3 round groups dont tell the tale...

Very nice!!

I am trying to talk my wife into letting me call up George for one of his rifles....might have to wait awhile!

Yeah, I know about 5 shots, but since this is a hunting rifle, with a fairly thin barrel, I just run three at a time most days.

Only pic I have handy ...

Remington 700 VSSF in .308, Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10 LRT M1. Five shots, 100 yards, prone, with Federal 175gr GMM ammo.

The only Target Pics I have. These were shot with a Savage 17 HMR that I used to have. Shot @ 100yds from prone position using a Harris knock-off bipod. Didn't measure them, I think both were under an inch...the .17 makes a tiny hole.

One of my personal best:

M4gery and WASR10 at 50 yards, shooting Fed 55gr and Wolf FMJ respectively. One of my more typical groups ... :D

CD, I'm gonna take a wild guess, 168gr over Varget ?

No, it is 175 SMK over RE15...;) I had bad luck with Varget in the past, and I think the RE15 is more consistent..

I am still developing loads and am not done yet... the Brass needs more work.....these were un tweaked Winchester brass, and will either fix them or buy some Lapua brass..;)

This rifle likes 190 Gr Berger VLD also..I will work that one up later..:)

Two hundred yards, iron sights, S&B 180gr SP, bayonet fixed, 1940 VKT M-91 with bayonet fixed, standing without sling out in the hayfield.

Only one I have handy...Remington M-141 in .35rem with peep sights @ 25 yards, Remington factory 200gr Core Locked, 3 rounds with one called flyer. I thought it was pretty good for a 50 year old pump rifle...
