From what I understand, I'm not supposed to mention the name of the company, nor the guy that made it on public forums.

Picked this up off of Gunbroker at $1075 new with a nice hardshell fitted case. It is the newest iteration of the clone, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Extraction/Ejection issues plaguing previous versions were cleaned up, and it ran Blazer Ammo despite warnings not to. The wife and I ran around 200 rounds though it with without failure. The magazine was a little hard to get to stick inside and drop and the bolt would not stay open after the last shot, but I don't know if it's even supposed to do that anyway, being a total newbie to the HK carbine clone.

Here she is shooting it up close. She does enjoy how light and easy handling it is.

You're a lucky guy... my dad and I couldn't get my mom out to the conservation area just to watch the two of us shoot...

The bolts on these don't hold open, thats typical of the type of weapon.

Looks like BW5 made by Bobcat Weapons. I used to have one simliar to this and it worked ok in the begining but then started acting up after awhile, hopefully yours will remain true. I had one of the early 94 clones made by Special Weapons called the SW5, now the company is called Bobcat Weapons and its called the BW5. I bought it not knowing about the notorious nature of the company, after owning one I knew why. I later made the same mistake with Vulcan (previously Hesse) and soon ditched that one also. So needless to say I'm wary of any of these clones now, the only HK clone company I would trust now is JLD, if they had a 94 clone I'd buy it, but I don't think they do:(

In any case these are fun and cool looking, as long as it contiunes to work and provide enjoyment thats all that really matters.

BTW: If it cycles Blazer thats a good sign! Both of my previous 94 clones wouldn't eat the stuff at all, nor did they like UMC.

Nice looking rifile. :) Happy shooting.

I Have always wanted a HK94 clone but after reading up on them I heard that what is available is really hit or miss..most often miss. I heard that the Vector Arms versions in 9mm, which are no longer being made, were the only version to be nearly 100% relieable. If Vector Arms comes back out with a 9mm version I might pick one up.

There's an extensive discussion about BobCat 94 clones on another board. The "unnamed craphead" (toad) is no longer a part of the company. The current owners even posted legal letters, etc...My understanding is that current production BW-5's are GTG.

Nice rifle! Enjoy!
