I definitely had a blast and so did Brad.
Thanks to Larry, Sandy, Art and the rest of you that organized and setup the event and to Zak for dragging out the steel targets and organizing the long range shooting.

Here are a few of the pics from Saturday at the sight in range. I have some video that I will try to get posted soon.
Feel free to add more pics to this thread.

Zak and Arkie have some great pics. They should be along to post links. I have some, but they're at home, so I'll post some tonight.

Sandy has some stuff to say as well. She was disappointed THR was down, maybe even more than me.

One thing needs to be said. MarshallDodge's wife wins the cookie competition. Her oatmeal and butterscotch cookies all disappeared.

I want to thank the staff at the Whittington Center for going above and beyond to show us a great time. Especially Robbie, the program director. Saturday was his first day on the job, and he made it a personal mission to make sure we all had a good time. We were invited to come back any time. That says a lot about THR folks.

Rick, the shotgun manager, took five of us through the sporting clays course Sunday morning. He pulled targets (they don't have automatic throwers on the SC course yet), gave tips, and always would say "nice pair!" when somebody pulled off a double.

Thanks to all the THR folks who showed up! Sandy and I had a great time, and so did the boys who were with us.

Hey there!

I had a Great time visiting, eating, shooting, and just having a fun time.

I brought cookies too but sad to say that I ate more of the oatmeal and butterscotch cookies that MarshallDodges wife brought. LOL. They were really good. hmmmm.

Sandy's Salsa was sooooooooo good. :D

Here is a bunch of photos at the range and a few critters wandering around the place.

I hope everyone enjoys the photos that everyone posts and maybe next time we can get even a bigger crowd.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.

ETA: I ended up with someone's wrench. Please claim and I'll mail it out.

Looks like a great get together. I wish I could have made it. Maybe next year. :)

What a beautiful revolver Justin is holding there.

And that food was great. Best potatos au gratin I've ever had.

I'm damn sorry I missed the shotgunning.

Sorry I missed it. I know how much work getting something like that organized. Looks like you folks had a great time.

Everyone that I work with is on notice that I WILL be going to next years meet(assuming it's in the westerm 1/2 of the country) come hell or high water, regardless of anyone elses schedule.

Had a great time.

I've been showing off the pictures at work and bragging about all the cool stuff I got to play with.

I need to email SmokeRizen for the pie recipe.

I want to thank everyone that helped get this together. I haven't had that much fun in a long time.
MarshallDodge don't forget you promised us the recipe for those cookies.
I sure hope it's not a family secret. They were great.

I also want to thank all the guys that let my nephew shoot their guns. Those three boys I was helping were in heaven last weekend. They won't forget it for a long time.

From Mrs. MarshallDodge :)

This is a variation from the Quaker Old Fashioned Oats lid.

1/2 cup or one stick butter (the recipe calls for 1 cup), softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon Vanilla (it calls for 1 tsp)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspon salt
3 cups Quaker Oats oatmeal-Old Fashioned Oats make the best (not rolled oats)
1/2 bag of butterscotch chips

Heat oven to 350F.
Beat together butter and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla: beat well.
Add combined flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
Stir in oats and then butterscotch chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoons full onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
ENJOY!

Very nice photos Larry!

hmmmmmmmm,, my mouth is watering for those cookies.

I'll have to make some.

Thanks Mrs. MarshallDodge!!!

Pie Recipe

Lemon Pie
6 oz frozen lemonade (thawed)
8 oz cool whip
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
All mixed together with electric mixer and into a graham cracker pie shell, and into frig to cool.

I usually make two at a time as the lemonade comes in a 12 oz can and Bud whines if he does not get enough. Glad you enjoyed! Mrs. Rizen
