That's just not right.:D:D

What brand is that shotshell bandoleer? I've considered one for my (future) shotgun, but most of what I've seen are leather, and I prefer the synthetic types for most uses.

You've got some good toys there - thanks for letting us have a look!

I believe bandolier is an "Allen" brand, not 100% sure, just a cheapo i got at wallyworld i also have a camo one made of neoprene, bought at walmart also.

I like a decent variety and hope to continue building my collection, but I would need to make another cabinet if I get any more

Back about a month ago, I was enjoying some family time. I snapped this picture and was intent on posting it with the title "The twins and I". So, here are my twins, sitting on the sofa. Bad enough to tell one child from the other with one set of twins, right? Try 3 sets of twins. Of course, each of my children is meaningful in their own right. I do not play favorites. :) Ain't they purdy?!

Alucard - Very impressive collection. Where do you shoot? I'm in Columbia, and have yet been able to find an outdoor range to use. I've heard of the Hap Baker range, but last I heard they're rebuilding parts of it after a fire.

And what kind of cabinet is that?

Doc - They're charming! And so well behaved, lining up like that for a picture! :) If you should ever need to send one to a foster home, let me be the first to volunteer to look after one of your brood, heh.

Mmmm...Hi Powers. Very cool. I'm looking to get myself one at some point soon. I have about 3-4 handguns I'm drooling over lately, but I NEED to buy myself a decent rifle. The collection's getting a little lopsided.

Although I will say, Mr. Fumigator - much like my offer to Doc, if you should ever require a loving foster home for one of your collection, I'd be glad to lend a hand.

Thanks Kingpin Yup you guessed right, I am one of the Hap Baker orphans, shot there about twice a week, the pistol range is back up and running, but the rifle range is still at least a few months away, after it burned to the ground. I have been thinking about the mariottsville club range, but it is a private range where you need sponsors to join (dont know anyone), and costs a lot of money, so I probably will just wait untill Hap baker is rebuilt to fire the boomsticks.

The cabinet is an Alucard insomnia exclusive, red felt interior with brass hardware and locks, and black painted particle board, you too can build one in about 2 weeks full of sleepless nights:scrutiny:

Haha - I have a wierd hospital-medicine-cabinet type thing that I resuced from the dump in my room. Really thin sheet metal construction, so I only use it to store ammo rather than guns, but if I could find another one I'd probably try to beef it up enough to make me confident it'd securely hold my guns.

Doesn't it suck, living around here and trying to find places to shoot? I've heard about all these outdoor areas, but 95% you have to either be a member, drive all the way out to hell and gone to find, or both. I have the navigational sense of a walnut, so trekking to find most of these places is a crapshoot at best, heh.

Maybe when they get the rifle range up and running we can meet up and put some rounds downrange. It's tough finding people to shoot with around here.

sure, sounds cool. I know it's hard to find decent places to throw lead, but I guess that comes with the paved over blue state territory. Makes you truly envy some of the folks out west.

Weatherby Mark XXII- semi-auto, tube mag, grandfather's
Mossberg 500ATP- 3 barrels and pistol grips-preffered setup as pictured
Kimber Pro Carry, main carry
Taurus PT145 MilPro- worn anytime I'm gonna sweat/get hot
Taurus M85UL- wife's .38, sometimes gets out

...too many gone but not forgotten. This is what I have now. I think I NEED a centerfire rifle for the collection. and of course another pistol.

Here's my two workin' guns and two range guns. The range guns have the following customizations: bead blasted finish, polished triggers, polished hammers, lightened triggers, and Hogue Goncalo Alves grips for the 686.

You can just barely tell, but the Ruger has gold fill in the Ruger logo ;)

Zen21 - Very nice. Like I said earlier, there's just something awe inspiring to see some of these collections. It's very cool to see the different variations people take with their guns, so many choices...I dunno. I love looking at guns. Not much else to it, I guess. :D

Jragsdale - Slick! I've seen a few examples of bead blasted revolvers here and there, and the more I see the more I like it. I'm a fan of stainless over blued to begin with, but I think the bead blasting really brings out a richness that regular stainless just doesn't have. hard chrome is also pretty classy on a nice solid revolver, but it seems that it may be getting less and less common as a treatment option..

kingpin008, glass bead blasting is a very labor intensive project. Those little beads get everywhere and require a lot of cleaning. I suggest you have an experienced gunsmith do it and explain to him exactly what you want it to look like. Glass bead blasting is usually done so that the finish does not reflect light. You might end up with a dull, rather unattractive metallic gray after he's done.

The bead blasting that I had gone reflects light, but not as much as the factory brushed stainless. It's subdued rather than dull.

Just a warning for you if you're considering having it done :)

Yongxing - dude, there's not words. I sorta regret making this thread..the urge to catch up to some of these collections I'm seeing is intense. Thanks for posting, I'm gonna have to get to the range really, really soon to put my pistols through their paces to keep my wallet safely in my back pocket. Hard part of that is the range I use is also a gun store. :banghead:

Jragsdale - Oh, there's no way I'd even attempt something like that on my own. I have the mechanical ability of a drunk ape, and the few guns I do own have greatly depleted my ability to replace them, at least at this point, heh. Maybe in the future, but right now I just like to look. :D
