Shh... It was all a scam. I'm doing wet work in South America for very powerful men who know who they’ll need when the balloon goes up.

me with No4 enfield, which fell pray to my "inordinate amount of handload development and it still shoots lousy, it's sell/trade fodder" rule.

the mediocre accuracy, combined with the expense, time etc to get the gun set up "right" according to my needs/wants (replace the two position rear sight with a Micrometer type, replace original long length [had "L" mark at toe] butt stock with standard length unit, then strip/clean and re-oil the stock) just didn't seem a worthwhile project

Lots of truth to that. The gentleman who's cabin we stayed in had just shot a big cat in his out building earlier in the summer. He made sure to let us know and asked if I'd be bringing "anything" along.
