Ok as a non-lethal back up?
Or as a secondary item?
Do You carry mace?
What kind?

Been looking at getting MKVII Personal Size Triple Action Defense Spray
from Galls, recommended by a few LEO friends..
http://www.galls.com/style.html?assort=general_catalog&style=SD029

Any other brands makes, or Suppliers...
Definitly like the pistol grip, saftey feature of this design.....

If your wondering why I ask, 2 reasons, One is I 'm in OHIO where almost every place post a No Guns Sign, and secondly is am doing a little bouncer gig at night in a not so fun part of the area, where conflicts are inevitable.

Just wanted some input on this, see what others think. Thanks in advance.

I've been carrying some Sabre red, but it's old and dented. Looking to pick up some of the Fox 2oz for myself/friends/family, and use that.

I carry it as a non-lethal alternative, and for places where I cannot carry my handgun.

I am issued Sabre Red, but wish we had our old LE-10 back - that stuff works a LOT better. We had to switch after a Florida inmate got hosed with LE-10, a petroleum based spray, was then tased, and caught fire. Oops. So, now Sabre Red, a water based spray. Gah.
BTW, "Mace", a product of Smith and Wesson, has been out of production since the late 60s, I believe. What you are referring to is OC, or oleoresin capsicum based defensive sprays/foams/etc. I have to correct staff when they start talking about using thier "Mace". Tell 'em they're out of compliance with non issue gear.:p
