I've heard good and bad things about different mounts for the CETME. Can someone please advise which is the best mount, and if you have a pic of it post it? Thanks in advance.

This is a Stanang-style mount on my PTR 91. I think the CETME should be basically the same. I've bought a lo-mount, but am waiting until I can afford a new scope before mounting it. Sorry for the less-than-great photo.

The HK-style claw mounts are your best bet if you want to retain the ability to use your irons (which I always do). They are rock solid when mounted, allow use of the irons with the scope on, and can be removed and replaced without losing your zero. Here's a pic of my PTR-91 with an original HK claw mount and Hensoldt Fero Z 24 scope I picked up just last week:
Here's another pic when I had a Tapco reproduction claw mount, along with a STANAG-to-picatinny rail adapter and a Burris scope:
The Hensoldt Fero Z 24 is the best way to scope these types of rifles. The scope is extremely high quality, very rugged and authentic. The complete package of scope, mount, case, lens covers, tool kit, etc., is available for $375 shipped from Dan's Ammo.
