Ah, well --- the shorts were Dad's.

Hey ... that thing weigh more'n you?

Naw, I got a few ounces on it. Being 6 ft doesn't help. I've gained bout 10 pounds since then. But that thing is seriously a hefty firearm. From dad as well.

30 years ago, in 30 below weather, in a place that dosnt exsist any more.

One of my other passions, here I'm shooting an Osage self bow of my own making.

In the family photo I'm the ugly one.

Here's a family photo from two years ago. We have another baby girl now. My kids love guns and are more than happy to help clean them and I have taken the older one to shoot. On the other hand, this past week I was cleaning the mother-in-law's sewing machine and the baby (one in picture) pointed to it and said, "Dadda, scary". I guess she likes guns, but hates sewing.

this is an old picture of me back when I was a rogue zombie hunter in south park, colorado. you can't see it, but off to the side is my tactical wheelbarrow, with a turret mounted .22 cal AR-15.
note my B.O.B., shotgun and edged melee weapon.

Taken in 2005 about 43 years after I last shot this 25 Pounder Field Gun.

The most fun was had in the Anti tank role.....firing a 20 pound tungsten projectile ahead of 19,687.5 grains of cordite NQ/S. at 1780 fps.... without ear protectors.

Right then! What gun for bear? I think 25# has the answer.

Getting ready for a high speed mission in OIF3 (2005, Kuwait) -- coordinating plumbing parts with a civilian supplier!
I got lots of questions about the NRA sticker on my coffee cup ... usually I'd just say that it helped me think of what we had sworn to protect.
