Are there any double cennelure bullets, that when loaded in the 38SPL cases are the same OAL as 357Mag? And therefore the same case capacity with the loaded cartridge?

Follow up question: same for .45 Colt/.454 Casull

In the .38, I suppose you could seat a 148 DEWC or HBWC out just a bit so it would have the same overall length as the same bullet seated flush in the .357. Make sense?

Not sure about the bullets, but if you are trying to load .38 cases to .357 pressures, don't. Bad safety ju-ju.

kludge, yes you can. But only use 38spl cases to make 357 cartridges - do not load 38spl to 357 pressures. And make sure those cartridges will not chamber in a 38spl cylinder. I used to crimp just behind the first lube groove land. And that's another thing - make sure those bullets cannot be pushed back into the case to fit a 38spl. (My loads were mild anyway, using the volume to load more fast rifle powder for rifle loads).

Peter
