Time for another oldie? Here's a really rare bird. S-M Sporter circa 1953. Single-shot .22rf named after Sydney Manson, Pres. of the company, and co-designer of this little POS - along with gun guru of that era, W.H.B. Smith. The gun was made in Springfield, Mass. by Richmond Parke Corp., and sold through Parker-Whelen Co. of Washington, D.C. None of these companies exist today.
Sold back then for $19.94. This one recently cost me 25 times that amount! Best guess is that less than 600 were made - and more likely only 400! Extremely hard to find!

And, here's one of the original American Rifleman ads for the gun.
