Tex,
What can I say? I love nickle any old way, but those Badger boot grips are equally beautiful; the warm tones and sinuous grain really are appealing.

I love the looks of those Colt Lawman snubbies; sort of reminiscent of the British Bulldog revolvers of another era.

I've got a heavy barrel 4" lawman MkIII. Great shooter. Haven't taken my Smith 620 out of the safe since I bought it.

I love the stock grips on the lawman (lawmen?) pictured above... the stock ones and the badger grips. My lawman has the wide bottomed 'target' grips. I have a det. spl. with the smaller grips, and I'm quite happy with them. Can't find a set for my Lawman, though (for a price I'm willing to pay). I'll look at the badger grips... don't really need something that abbreviated on a 4", but perhaps they have something I'll like.

Not bad, I stupidly passedon similar ones around $350-375 in 2002-2004 time frame or so. I like how it's a true 2" barrel, rarely seen in .357mag. Usually a 2 1/2" or a 2 3/4".

cmidkiff, Badger does have grips for the square butt Lawman frame.

Hey Kevin, where you been??? I just had to show that picture again for the benefit of MM, our new Lawman owner :D

Hey Ed, we've been really busy at church with our basketball league.

I still have'nt found a snub Lawman here at all. Your nickel version is still the driving force in taking me to all the shows but I havent had any luck yet. oh well. There seem to be several 4" blue versions, but none like yours.:(

flusher,
No rancor implied, what is the "stripped-down" difference in the two models?
MM

Flusher,
Many thanks, regading your explanation. What did I miss? Only the obvious, no shroud on your Trooper. I have a Trooper in .38, from 1954. Now as I see it, your gun has fixed sights, but my ol' Trooper has adjustable rear's, I wonder why Colt changed them? Again I may have missed something, or misunderstood your comparison

MM,

I've got an old Colt Lawman MKIII snubby that appears to be very similar to yours, except mine shows a good amount of wear. I do shoot mine a few times a year. It's loaded for HD duty. It is a very good shooter.

Turbo,
The part about "very good shooter" is good to hear, as I have decided to put some .38 + p through it when I can get to a range.
MM

I love the 2 inch Lawman. Mine is e-nickel and makes a super BUG or hot weather carry gun. I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

Respectfully,
