For fun..found my NJ 1967 and 1971 permits to purchase pistol!

All these years later, I find these permits in a small box of keepsakes. I was 19 in '67. I was obviously smarter at 19 than 22! :D

Sure wish I still had that #48578 Colt Commander in .38 Super! :banghead:

I was quite under the legal age to purchase anything back then! Neat find, good keepsakes to pass on. Even better if the requirements to have to buy government permission to aquire a firearm ever go away.
 
You guys in Jersey lost your rights a long time ago, didn't you? You needed a permit to buy a gun in the 60s? Wow.

The Red copy is for the buyer. That is when he bought it and his name. The blue copy is from when he sold the same gun.

Well, I live in NC now and still need a permit to purchase a pistol, although I use my CHP instead.
