Update: Range trip
Well, I went to the range today with my new toy. I lubed the rails and loaded a mag, shot seven rounds and on the seventh round the gun froze in mid cycle. I took it to my range gunsmith in the lobby, thinking I broke the barrel link. The slide asolutely would not budge. The smith had to get it off with a rubber mallet. Turns out the slide rail by where the ejector is, has a chunk taken out of it. The slide would not even go back on the gun. I took the gun back to the gunstore and the owner offered me any of the guns the same price. I decided to have him send it back to DW. I want a CBOB, dang it. Oh well, It shot great for most of a mag

Wow, unfortunate. Good luck with that and I hope it gets fixed to your satisfaction.

Hmm... so much for all that "DW is superior to Kimber and Springfield" talk huh... lol

That's odd, DW's very rarely have an issue. Don't worry, they will fix it. The CBOB is one of the best values on the 1911 market.

Actually, they did not fix it. They apologized to my local dealer and sent me a brand new CBOB. It got here last week on Tuesday. I put 200 rounds through it and it functioned flawlessly. The new gun was here in less than 10 days total. I would have to give a thumbs up to tha DW customer service.
