I'm thinking about getting one. I'm Looking for a rifle that is accurate to about 800 yards, and semi auto.

Thought about this. Possible other suggestions. I can get one for about 500-600 so thats my budget.

I don't own one so take my advice for what it is worth. That being said, while those rifles seem really "fun" I don't think that they are going to be accurate out to 800 yards. I think if you worked up some 7.62x54 handloads you might be able to get a fairly accurate rifle, but that range is pretty extreme. If you want that range in that price point you are going to have to get a bolt action. Savages and tikkas are both in that price range and they can potentially reach to 800 in .308+ calibre. That is a really long range though, I've never shot farther than 300.

I have one it's basically a long barreled AK, no way in hell it's gonna be accurate to 800 yds. Hell even at 100 yds it's a 2 MOA gun at best.

I've shot mine out to 400 yards and got hits on a silhouette target, but I don't find it to be a really accurate rifle. Mine shoots about 3 MOA with Czech silvertip and I'm guessing that with better ammo that it might shoot 2 MOA or better.

For serious accuracy I'd prefer a bolt action, but if I were really of a mind to shoot long distance with a PSL, I would build a custom stock for it with a proper cheekpiece and length of pull, get an SVD mount with a Picatinny rail and then top it with a high powered mil-dot scope.

They need some trigger work too. I swapped out the trigger group on mine for an RSA.
