Not a lot of info there. The main question being why couldn't he buy guns? Local, state, federal restriction?

My god, he even had guns in his gun safe, what's more scary to the powers in NJ, that he had a lot of guns, or that he had enough to fill a gun safe?

So...the ATFingE has decired that it is contrary to good order and a manageable population if said population takes steps to propare for bad times...Oh; I forgot;they're from the gov't and are here to help.

"The ATF has labeled all multiple purchasers as inherently suspicious"

That makes a lot of y'all inherently suspicious.

How about the line: He had food, water & weapons? OMG Food & Water!!!!

I guess that makes me a survivalist. I, too, have food & water at my house.

That report was pretty funny. I think some of the real gems have already been posted such as reporting that he had guns in his gun safe and food and water in his house.

This story shows how ignorant people are in general about guns and how easily he media can hype and spin things. I truelly believe one f the best things we can do for gun rights is to inofrm people and expose them to guns and facts. Sure not everyone wants to learn but lots of objective people can be made to see how silly this stuf really is.

Even FEMA suggests that you stockpile food and water.....

You may need to survive on your own after a disaster. This means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least three days

http://www.fema.gov/plan/prepare/supplykit.shtm

"Other supplies" to me include a firearm.

Hey, I'm just a good citizen doing what FEMA told me to do :)

Yeah, God forbid the guns end up in the hands of criminals!! It would be horrific!!

Neighbor says "He seemed normal. He didnt seem like a radical."

To the best of my knowledge, the guy didnt commit any crimes with the guns. He didnt hurt anyone with the guns or threaten anyone. So now just becasue he has guns in the gun safe and nightstand, he is automatically labled a "radical"?

I wonder how many of my neighbors would be caught blabbering on their stoop about how "ColinthePilot didn't seem radical. He sure didn't seem like the type of guy that would have those types of weapons."
Oh, yeah? What types of weapons are those? The kind that put holes in paper targets, or soda cans, or the type that can, but never have put holes in goblins who would threaten my life? Or are you talking about the kind that can kill animals for food?

And what type of guy owns these weapons?
Do they have to be crazy? Do they have to have malicious intent? Bank robbers? School shooters? no.
Ordinary people legally and responsibly own many more guns than this guy.

Ugh...I'm preaching to the choir...

what was the PC for going into his house? did I see the video wrong, a black survivalist. I thought only camo-clad overweight white folks were survivlists.

lots of ???

i agree, we do not have enough info. about why he was "allowed no more guns". but unless i heard it wrong the "chief" said that he was allowed no MORE guns, not that he was prohibited from possessing them.????
some of ya'll complaind about the MSM using the term "asault weapon"
so do you like their new term better "WEAPONS of WAR"!:neener:
so now many of us here at thr are survivalist & posses "WEAPONS of WAR"!
well the guy did have since 1976 to leave NJ. :banghead:

maybe i'm just stringing unrelated info from the video but appearently the PC was:
he was on a list not to purchase more guns & made "multiple" purchases

A man said that he pulled out a .380 gun to his head and told him that he needed to get off his property. That was the PC for the search.

according to the news report he could not buy a gun since 1975, but used false papers in NC and SC to buy guns.

Don't know WHY he could not buy a gun in NJ, if it was that he was a felon, or that it was some sort of NJ registration law.

body armor

He even had weapons that could pierce body armor:eek:

I'm sure that quite a few of us do. But the game I hunt doesn't wear armor:D

Dude must not have been much of a survivalist if he hadn't even managed to get the heck out of New Jersey yet. :neener:

Weapons of war? What the heck. I think I saw a GSG-5 in there. .22 LR weapon of war, against squirrels and rabbits.

He didn't even have an AR's or AK's. God help us if he did. The media would have an even bigger frenzy.

I guess I am too--I have food and water. I'm stockpiling them, if you will.

But no weapons here. Nope, all lost in a tragic boating accident. ;)
