Howdy, folks.

I found a picture of a rifle on /k/ (and I don't copy any images from 4chan onto my computer for fear of viruses) of a Bolt Action, Underfolding Box-Mag fed rifle and was puzzled. It had a wooden stock (and the underfolder looks like it's made of metal). The forend looks like a Mini-14 mated with an SKS and the folding stock looks like a standard AK folder. It looks to have a heavy barrel. The mag looks short but looks to hold very long cartridges. Can someone tell me what kind of rifle this is?

Did it have a front sight that looked like an AR-15 front sight mounted backwards?

I saw a gun that looked just like you described with that weird front sight while I was flipping channels. It was on the spanish channel, some soap opera.

Definitely not a MAS36 folder; those have full-profile stocks that look nothing like AK folders.

No, it was definately not an M1 Carbine. It wa Bolt Action. One had the front sight of a mini-14 and one didn't have a front sight.
