Ok, so I cannot use my Yahoo e-mail address to register at the S&W forums. It is the only one I have...anyone have any other ideas?

Try emailing the admin over there or quickly create a gmail account at Google and use that one.

I have found out that life does go on without their forum

Not trying to sound rude but the more info I can get my brains on the better educated my gun purchases and projects go. Without registering I cannot use the search function there which what I would like the most.

Tried the gmail thing...no-go...thanks for the idea though.

The S&W forum is a great source of info, its worth the trouble to get a real e-mail account. Doesn't your internet provider give you an account?

Do you have an email account at work? That is what I had to do to get on there. They have never contacted me at my work email. They are a very informative site. Check out the Colt forum as well.

It's worth getting a premium email account if you have any interest in Smith and Wesson weapons. They've got some of the most astute collectors on the net. Not that THR is bad, but sometimes more is better.

You can use Google to search websites. It's an option under "Advanced Search". Or, you can just use the following syntax on the Google homepage:

"<search term> site:smithwesson-forum.com"

SO====Whats the deal with these site not taking yahoo mail???
I only have a yahoo mail acct.
What do they want--?? I tried to go on S+W but no luck --Also ARF-COM wont let me join [after I contacted them to ask why,, I was treated so rudly Im glad I did not get in ]
What do they want--???? OUTLOOK EXpress? Ill never use that again-reason,,I once needed to access my mail from anoter location but I could not get outlook express at the off site location..
if they dont like yahoo--The heck with em !

Yeah; they don't want my AOL address, either. I have found out that life does go on without their forum. As Groucho said: any outfit that would have me I wouldn't join.

same. its why im not on AR15.com

Tried my Yahoo....no-go...tried the Gmail via Google......no-go....tried glockmail (and it may go through...waiting approval.

MMCSRET, I am well aware of the great resources here at THR, and it is my favorite and most visited gun board. But I also get MUCH great info from Rimfirecentral's boards, the Ruger boards, NAA boards, KTOG boards, and many others. I am currently in the wait for a S&W 2206 and figured I might be able to get a bit more info on it if I had access to more info, that's all.

I tried registering on there last year with my yahoo address. When it said I needed a "real" email address, I tried the one from my internet provider, Verizon. No go. I never could get it resolved. They never let me in. They never answered my questions. Like someone else said above.....life goes on without that forum.
