So I went to the dentist last week, thinking I had a cavity because one of my teeth was very sensitive to cold liquid, brushing, etc.
Turned out that tooth, and the ones on either side of it, had lost some enamel and exposed some of the soft guts of the tooth which was causing the sensitivity. The dentist said that can happen over time, but strangely none of my other teeth have this problem.
Anyway, I went to the range later that evening with my Mosin-Nagant, got down into prone position, took aim and… I felt the stock press right up against those three teeth through my cheek! I was shocked. So basically the recoil of that rifle has been wearing out the enamel on those teeth all this time.
Does anyone else have this problem, or am I doing something wrong with my positioning behind the rifle?
