CZ550 308 mods

Does anybody make a Pic rail type scope base for the CZ550 rifle?

Anybody know whether the CZ750 magazines will fit in the 550? I am almost certain that the action is the same between them.

My 550 does not have a detachable magazine. Not sure what you mean when you ask if one from another model will fit.

The CZ has a grooved receiver and uses a rather specialized scope mounting base. I don't know of anyone using a rail system on a bolt action sporting rifle.

You do realize the 550 is a bolt action sporting rifle, right?

From what I heard yes 750 mags will fit in a 550. Also I believe if you look at the CZ online store there is a rail in there.

Does the 550 have a removable mag? Have I missed this?

The short action CZ 550s have removable mags(243,308,etc). The long action (270,30-06,etc) don't. I'm gonna have to look at the rail now...

I had no idea.

Now I wonder... why just one action length and not all?

Pretty sure the action length is the same, for 308 30-06 etc., except for the magnum action, which is longer and beefier.

The detachable box magazine only holds 4 rounds... which is OK I guess. The standard length cartridges such as 30-06 and such have a 5 round internal box magazine. If it will work with the 10 rounders, I think I may have to buy this rifle.

The rail is presently out of stock, but it looks like it should work nicely. They call it a Weaver rail which worries me as the rings I am looking for are Picatinny I guess. Supposedly not interchangeable.

I have a HB laminated stocked .308 that came with a 4 round box magazine. I ordered a 10 round clip from CZ-USA and it works just fine as does the single set trigger.
