Absurdium? You want absurdium? How about a common small revolver and fairly common, and affordable, knives??

Okay, a Bear MGC Damascus Bowie isn't in the same ocean, much less same boat as a Randall. Judicious shopping can land one for a C-note or so, however - try to find even a Randall sheath for that. What can you say about a KaBar fighting knife? How about a Buck 120 General? Okay, the black phenolic handle is still available - but mine is, gads, in a kitchen drawer. Of course, a S&W 642 - how great a little pocket protector is that? So, a bit on the absurd side - a little revolver and a choice of three 'larger' knives - all available and affordable to we mere mortals.

How did I not see this thread until now:confused: Great stuff.

I'll get something together to contribute. But it won't compare to fine stuff already posted.

Here is a few more of my favorites. I wish I could pair these up but I don't have access to the guns right now.

Now a foreign entry - an 1895 Nagant from late WWII (1944) with holster and lanyard - and homebrew ammo made from .32-20 cases - and a Swiss Army Knife - a Victorinox Farmer in blue Alox:

My GP 100, with a 5" boot knife I made myself in 1980. Blade came from an old file, copper parts were scrap from work, and the handle slabs are from some rude slabs of cherry wood that I found in the barn where I lived at the time. I never made a sheath for it; it only gets used as a letter-opener.
I didn't have a forge to work the blade with, did what I could with a propane torch, so the heat-treatment is way off; some spots soft and others hard.
