Hello,

I'm thinking about purchasing this rifle in the near future.

I'm wondering, however, if this rifle would be easy to work on, since it takes FAL mags.

Could I switch out the barrel if I needed to?

What do you mean "work on"?

I haven't heard any reports on reliability of AR-10 type rifles using FAL mags, but if they run well, that'd be a huge plus. FAL mags are much more plentiful and cheaper (and I'm pretty sure you already have some IIRC :)).

I was just curious, based on the disclaimer in the ad, since this rifle uses a unique barrel nut and threading. If I ever wanted to change barrels down the road, how much trouble would it be?

I have never worked on the upper of an AR-like rifle, so bear with me. I will probably look to purchase this rifle this fall.

No problem at all . .I think your biggest problem would be the supply of replacement barrels. (as RRA is probably your only supplier . .but I don't know)

The tools you'd need to replace a barrel are available from Brownells and I don't think you'd spend much more than $60 for the set that you'd need. (Vice inserts, and a wrench)

Just my .02

Regards,
Dave

Hm, alright. Sounds good.

Hopefully my mountain bike buying spree will settle down in time to gather income for this rifle.
