I would like to put a light on my Sig Pro 2340 but the lights i have are for the picatany rail... what the heck is on my sig?... shockingly its hard to figure out and I thought i was decent with firearms and even using Google :banghead:
The 2340 is a proprietary rail. I think that SIG might have made an adapter, and I believe there might be aftermarket adapters. I've never been concerned as don't use lights or lasers. I think that an advantage of the 2022 is that it has a standard rail.
BTW, I'm not sure whether the rail adapter is available in the US. A search will answer that. I do know the SureFire and Laser Devices make a light or laser devise made specifically to the 2340.
Also, it's a great gun, a real sleeper. Mine is a Blueline chambered in both .40 and .357. Way underrated.
Other than the rail situation, this is by far my favorite firearm.... May be its me, maybe its the gun but i have a feeling its a nice blend between the two... but this is my most accurate handgun i have.
Owning all the major brands, and some 2-3x the price, my SigPro is my favorite shooter.. and talk about a TRUE fully changeable backstrap!... Ive had this about a year and it has seen many many trips to the range. Honestly im probably at about 8k down the pipe and i have not had 1 single malfunction. Not 1.... and ive shot the cheapest of cheap, high end, steel cased, a WIDE range of hollowpoints... It has just been SO dependable i was thinking of having it as my home defense gun but i wanted to attach a light to it... or a light/laser combo.
I hear ya, I like mine as is. I've shot a lot of SIGs over the years and this has one of the best triggers and is so darned smooth shooting even with the .357 barrel that I prefer. I paid about that for mine and would never consider getting rid of it.
