Scherer 3.5 connector, vast improvement over the stock 5.5 Why wouldn't "I lightened the trigger" be an option? I mean really why make the Glock trigger heavier, unless you love heavy triggers found on most revolvers. But if you love 1911s you will want to lighten up your Glock's pull.

mine is stock for 2 reasons
1) i believe that the only mods that need to be made to a defensive use glock is change the sites if you have the plastic factory type, with xs big dot sights and change nothing else.
2) i can control the trigger just fine, through smooth even press to the rear. and if used properly(reset is a big plus on the glock.) people would see how easy glock factory triggers are to shoot fast and accurately. my glock is not for competition there for there is no need for a light trigger. to many times people try to make up for their lack of marksmanship skills, and fundamentals with after market add ons. no thanks.

Wow. With 72 responses so far I am the only one with a NY2 trigger spring?

No one likes a 12 lb trigger pull? Wimps! :) :p:neener:

I got the NY2 for safety reasons. I felt that the stock trigger was a little too light. A heavy trigger pull doesn't bother me too much. I am so used to revolver shooting that the NY2 trigger isn't a big deal.

I am also considering a Cominolli safety. If I get one, then I might go with the NY1 trigger.

after trying most, if not all, of the different connectors and spring combos out there, ive settled on this: $.25 trigger job, glockworx's new race connector with their comp trigger spring...
measured at 4-4.5lbs with a super nice break and nice crisp reset... now only a tuned 1911 is nicer.
i carry it with no reservations, a hair trigger it's not.
shooting quarter sized groups at 15 yards all day long has become routine... highly recommended combo!

As for the poll options: None of the above!
I use a polished reduced power connector with a reduced power striker spring and an "Ultimate Overtravel" stop from LWD. Both my 17 and 22 (SSP & Limited) are so equipped. Carry Glocks have the 3.5 connector and the .25 trigger job. Works for me.

I took the 3.5 pound connecter out of my 17L longslide and replaced it with a standard piece.

Swapped the extended mag release out for a standard one too.

All the Glocks I own have the factory 3.5# connector and the NY#1 spring. Even the sort of G20T I put together which will never see anything but range use. Since I started my practical pistol shooting with a DA revolver (S&W M-28) it gives a better feeling trigger travel.
