I recently traded my Glock 23 for an almost new Para SSP. I hate the plastic grips that come from the Para factory, and I wasn't a fan of the plastics from ERGO grips either. The ERGO's were nice and grippy, but ugly. I'm not a fan of plastic on a 1911 anyways. I just got my new Dymondwood grips from Raasco, and I love them. I got the double diamond checkered ones in Red, Brown, and Charcoal. How do you guys think they look?
The original panels from Para are on the left, the ones from ERGO grips are on the right.
I was initially concerned that I may lose some "grippiness" which I know is not a real word over the plastic ERGO grips, but I was dead wrong. These are a little bit wider, giving a better feel and they give a more secure grip than the other two, in addition to looking a hell of a lot better.
