Should a buy a new toy just for fun like a .22lr or 9mm or ammo for my neglected more expensive calibers?

I thought of that but I am just not ready for it nor do I have the time. It's all I can do to drag myself to clean them. :(

I have been on a 22lr kick lately. Let's me shoot a whole lot more for less money. Although I need to stop buying 22LR guns to actually save anything.:D

CoRoMo,
That is a good idea. I am interested in getting NRA certified in something and possibly an instructor.

Reload. Seriously. I just started 9mm and have withdrawals when my primer or bullet supply runs out. It's very calming and addictive.

You don't have to spend a lot of money on equipment either. I use a simple Hand Press, and my total cost came to $120 for everything, sans components. A decent and basic bench mount setup would run you $200, including dies, scale and loading book.

Do you ever sit and watch TV? I do all my reloading watching a movie or two.

++ on reloading. I bet that you can find a little time for that if you wanted to. I got back into it after some years of spending for ammo. Now I shoot 25X more than I used to for LOTS less.:) 45 ACP FMJ for say 9 cents a round. Lots better when shooting my MAC 10 bullet hose.:D

Ditto on the reloading. Plus a new toy always adds to the collection very nicely. You may find you like the new gun better than the ones you have. Plus if you live in a 1 to 1 state, you can get a few new guns in a single day. Like twin 45's. BTW, can anyone tell me how the collecto's sets work? tis it considered 2 pistols? Can you get both the same day, or do you get 1 every 30 days? I'm calling my gun shop!

I just called and they said I'd have to wait unless I had my concealed carry permit. Sssso I'd be buying a set of something on my way home today. That Reuger set's been calling my name for a while! BIG DADDY, OH BIG DADDY! Lol

Going to depend on the state you live in. Here in Nevada if you have the money you can take home every gun in the store if you want, although with multiple purchases lately you may wind up with a visit from ATF.

Absolutely. As a matter of fact, get them both. I have shot more .22 LR & 9MM than ever lately, just due to cost.
