Snubby revolvers, wood grips and hot loads: Ouch!

I like the look of wood grips but when it comes to guns I carry for defense, Crimson Trace is what I prefer. The CTs on my 642 give a little padding on the backstrap and I imagine the laser would be a god-send in any low light situation.

I'm unfamiliar with the problem of the gun hitting the middle finger... Looks like Crimson Trace has taken care of that as well.

Note the Pachmayrs...

....on 2 of 3 snubbys. The wood grips on the 642 look/carry great, but suck for range work. I'm a big believer a gun that gets carried alot should get shot alot. The SS grips on the 642 just didn't cut it for range sessions of 100-150 rds with the 642. So now it too has Pach's on it. The accuracy/shootability those grips transfer to the revolver are critical (to say nothing of how comfortable they are to shoot with).

The Ruger I carry IWB and the M85/642 go in my front pocket. I've never felt the Pach's to make drawing / concealing a problem, either.

I can't hit anything shooting my snubs (S&W mod 15 , 2" and S&W mod 640, 2 ") when they carry their factory wood stocks, so I put rubber ones on both.
Wouldn't make much sense, keeping a gun I can't shoot right, right ?

I like the Pachmayr Compac Professional

Doesn't hamper concealment and makes the 44 Spl much easier to shoot.
