Update

It is possible, if you know what you're doing, to drill a cross-pin hole in the XS sight base and install on the LCR using the factory roll pin. Not recommended unless you have some machinist-type skills or very good eyes. Primary concerns are twofold: finding the exact location for the hole, and holding the sight while drilling, without cracking the tritium vial.

It's only $60 because it is just the front sight. If it comes with the red threadloc stuff that mine came with when I ordered them for a different gun, then it should be pretty sturdy.

I pinned the XS tritium sight on the wife's LCR and used no adhesive, just the roll pin. Mine did not come with adhesive, but XS recommended JB Weld. You do need to be mechanically inclined and have good eyes and equipment to get the pinhole properly placed. What I did was line up the Ruger sight alongside the XS on a flat smooth surface and while holding them parallel and steady, reached through the pinhole in the Ruger sight with a pin vise and drill bit to mark the spot on the side of the XS sight. I was lucky. You also need a way to hold the irregularly shaped sight without cracking the tritium vial while you're drilling the hole square across. I squeezed the pin back in with a pair of padded pliers instead of driving it with hammer and punch.

Obviously, the nice thing with the pin only is you can replace the sight in 15 years when it stops glowing. JB Weld is.... permanent.
