I had a good year actually. A deer, an elk, my first bobcat, and some doggies too!
Coues deer:
Elk are made of meat! (it was a cow)
First kitty cat!
Shotgun double with my predator hunting partner:
A couple more song dogs:
Hope this works. The six point I took opening day 2009. It was the first time firing my new Vangaurd at a deer, and the first buck I ever took. It was also the longest shot so far on a live animal. Between 150 and 175 yards.
Couple antelope does up in Wyoming:
And a little 5x5 on the last day of the hunt:
In our group, we took a total of 8 antelope, 2 elk and 1 deer this year, plus a handful of blue grouse, some geese, some pheasants, some ducks. Did ok.
Here's a one of the bigger bears we took this year. Saw him several times and finally got some dogs on him around the end of the year. My dad wound up taking him. 509lbs, the 3rd shot from his Rem 760 30.06 hit him in the skull and took him out of the B&C club.
here's a turkey from last spring
how about some fishing pictures, speckled trout and flounder
I had a less than stellar year on the deer myself. I kill some does with the bow early. Also killed some during rifle season dog hunting. I only killed one buck, a 16inch inside spread 6 point that was impressive. I dont have a pic of him but i'll try to find one. I figured more people would want to show what they did this year through pictures than just talk about it.
Here is my first bear, 1 shot to the head at 50 yds with my .300 WM. Not a big bear, but after seeing 12 or so grizzlies and no black bears, I just wanted a bear. My 13th day of hunting last spring, I had to put up with a late May snowfall and a swim across a creek with 40 degree water followed by a 1.5 hour stalk and a 2 mile pack out(wasn't going back across the creek), but it was worth it.
Opening day my youngest son shot a smallish 3 pt. He missed some hogs. I shot at a nice buck, but never found him. I've seen quite a few large bobcats, but have not gotten a shot at one this year. I just got a new cell phone that takes pictures, but I need the kids to post them for me. Deer hunting was very slow this year and very little sign. I talked to others and was told the same thing. I guess that's what you get when you hunt management areas. My sister has some property south of me, but the only thing I can hunt is turkeys. She has emailed me some pictures of some awesome bucks.
