rossi leverguns

Next weekend weather permitting.

Freehand standing, no sling, 75 yards. Test target with first pass 45 Cal plated 230g bullets at 2100+ fps handloads. (yes, I'm glad I had the Rossi with the recoil pad!)

Rossi M92 in 454 Casull, shooting in 45 Colt. Round 20" barrel.

Bottom line ... if you don't hit what you are shooting at with that rifle, it ain't the rifle's fault.

No pics of groups, but my 44 mag Rossi hated .429 plated bullets. Shot gun patterns at 25 yards. .310 cast bullets were much better. My 357 seems to shoot every thing OK, but when using the same cast bullets in 38s, they scatter also. I use 125grn JHPs for the 38s. Those do great. Wife loves the powder puff loads I make in 38s. I gotta drink a lot of beer to keep her in targets.

Mine were the same, at first. Email off to the vendor, and he said I wasn't shooting them fast enough. I was doing 900 fps or so; he said I needed at least 1500 fps or better. Sure enough, I got 'em to 1800+fps and the problem was resolved.
