I need some expert advice. Alligators aren't rare in Texas, but up around Dallas/Fort Worth they're pretty unusual.

I saw these tracks yesterday...are these alligator tracks?

Thanks, O wise High Road Hunters and Trackers!

There's no tail drag, which is why I had to ask the question.

They are definitely not deer tracks.

In the original photo, which is much larger than this one, it looks like there are scale prints near the heel of the larger print, but I can't be sure.

There were two "wild" emus living on my huntin grounds couple years back - no one knew where they came from but obviously escaped from some farm. I refrained from shooting them - would have been too easy - my dog chased them however, until she caught one, and then got chased by the emu herself.

I'd say that that track is sasquatch larvae, though.

Aren't there monitor lizards in that area? I know they're becoming something of a problem in Florida, along with pythons, and they're moving westward.

Are any of your neighbors fond of practical jokes? Saw a movie once where a guy carved some wooden forms of really big bare feet, screwed them onto a pair of boots and went running through the snow to cause a Sasquatch scare.
