How does the grip size of the CZ 97B compare to the Witness Elite Match & the standard CZ 75.

Thanks, AC

Kind of a loaded question. The EAA Witness Match (Tanfoglio) pistols made after 2005 or so, are based on a large frame & grip size. Regardless of caliber 9mm, 38 Super, 10mm, 45 Auto, they are the same size. These pistols are very similar to the large frame CZ 97B.

The CZ 75 Tactical Sports 9mm and 40 S&W are also made from the large frame & grip size CZ 97B frame casting.

The smaller frame & grip size is typical of the CZ 75/85 and older EAA (Tanfoglio) such as Witness Combat models 9mms. Clear as mud?

The trigger reach is about one finger-breadth wider on the CZ97B in DA mode compared to the standard (non-compact) CZ75B. They're about the same on SA Does that help?

Many thanks to docnyt for letting me shoot his CZ97. Shoots great! :)

One more question. Has the grip size of the 97 always been the same? Is an older 97 (no front slide serrations) the same as the newer 97 as far as size? Any notable differences I should know about?

Thanks, AC
