FL Open carry poll

Hmm. for some weird reason that link messes up when adding in a new tab.. It makes the front of the address look like this:

But, I found my way around it and voted

I hit the poll- 55-45 in fav of open carry.

Sun Sent is a a rag- and the author really is clueless even though he was sort of in favor of open carry.

I did some open carry fishing just a few days ago in Jetty Park. A few guys got there before me and were also open carrying. Cocoa police came and drew down on the guys and spent an hour gaining an education on FL law before letting the guys go, guns proudly shining on their belts to continue their fishing.

I passed the officers on my way down the boardwalk and they didn't say a word. Hopefully Cocoa PD decides to do some officer training on the subject to avoid those kinds of confrontations again.

Man I have missed Sun Sentinel ever since I moved from Davie to Sebring. It is nice to see that they are printing a pro gun article that will hopefuly get people familiar with OC and favorably at that.

How can we take polls like this seriously? It's worded so viciously one-sided, it's a guaranteed agenda victory.

What does stick out is how they worded the the several polls on the site over the last few days, eventually leading into an absolute manifestation of Hoplophobia with "...wave them at everybody?".

Yeah, the wording is pretty nut-jobish, but I still hit the poll. Don't think it's actually going to hurt anything, so why not?

We're getting spanked now, 58% say "no way." Anyone here on ar15.com? Post it there. Put "firemission" in the thread title (if it's not already there). That site has such high traffic that we'll turn things around fast if it's there.

As of tonight, it was 51% - NO and 49% - YES.
Go figure.

I thought FL was the "land of the retired folks". Older folks should have been in several of our wars and shouldn't be afraid of guns. Go figure.

Questions seem to manipulate the responses for this poll. In no way does open carry entail trying to allow people to "carry their guns openly and wave them at everybody" still, we should be hitting this poll a little better than this...every other poll I've seen has had nearly 10:1 FOR Open Carry.

I feel it won't help much. The poll is clearly hacked as votes against open carry were doubled within an hour last night. They've updated the poll 3 times, re-wording it each time. When they still didn't get the result they wanted, thousands of votes were faked.
