I recently picked up a slightly used Sig P229 E2 for $700. I thought it was a good deal.

Weatherby Vangaurds for less than $400 is a bargain. Good gun for the money.
There may not be many people who agree with me on this, but $449 for a brand new Ruger Blackhawk is a bargain in my opinion. Those things are tanks. To do better, you have to buy Freedom Arms, which is 3x the price at least. Sometimes more.

I think CMP service grades are a great deal.
Agreed.

My 5.8 million serial H&R M1 Garand Service Grade was $595. Looks absolutely fantastic, works well, I think it's a top deal these days.

The process to go about purchasing from the CMP was pretty much painless, too.

Value is like beauty it’s all in the eye of the beholder. I happen to believe that some of the best values are the older J, K, and N frame Smith and Wessons’. None of these are cheap but for the most part they were well made and are still increasing in value. As fine a product, as they were I’ve never had much interest in Colt revolvers, yet I assume they are in the same class as the Smiths’

For new revolvers IMHO Ruger is probably the best value on the market today, not a finally finished as the Smiths but tank tough and apparently are as durable as the government model 1911

Til the end of the year at least, Marlin is offering a $25 rebate on their blued Model 795. the go for right at $130 most place, so you're looking at $110 or so for a quality, accurate .22. I bought a stainless model so I didn't get the rebate, but it still came in under $200. Not too shabby, and it shoots like a dream.

been a long time since Yugo SKSs were selling for $100

It's only been about 10 years or so. About 7 years or so I bought a Saiga 7.62x39 for $209 NIB. THAT was a good deal. I will second or third that the Ruger p95 is one of the best 9mms for the money.

The Savage bolt action EDGE just came out with a retail price under $300 chambered in most all popular centerfire calibers. Both forum and youtube reviews have been positive. I will be hocking my kel-tec to BUD's for a trade in very soon for a camo .223 model.

i have seen 95-100% condition 6" GP100's going for under $400, definetly a steal on awesome revolvers.

i would agree with several of these cz 82, s&w 5906, yugo mauser's, cmp rifle's & most of your used police trade in's. personally i bought my m1a ss loaded lightly used rifle for 1250 which to me was a great deal.

Stoeger Cougar series is the best value/deals currently available. The 8000 & 8040's sell NIB where I live for $369. I only seen one used one (8000) & it was $225 (It was sold in less than an hour). I picked up a 3 month old 8045 in mint condition for $269. NIB they're selling for $419.

9x19

91/30s for under $100 - Yuck!

S&W 5906s for $270 @ Buds. - Overweight with silly safeties (slide and magazine)

CZ75s for $450 sometimes - Overweight for a 9mm)

CZ82 for around $200 - Best buy in 9mm Makarov

SP101s for $450 - In my area, that's over-priced for a used gun, who buys new revolvers?

Ruger KP95PR for $320 new in the box - best value for a "full-size" 9mm.

Glock 9mms for $480 new in the box - best selection and no silly safeties.
