Is this Class III, or just like a regular shotgun?

civie legal. If it were semi-auto then it might be considered a DD.

Kel-Tec KSG bullpup Shotgun
-Yes, it's civilian legal (18.5" barrel, 26" OAL), identical size to the RFB, just a little wider.
-Cylinder bore 12 gage-2.75". 14+1 rounds.
-manually switched dual-tube mag (7 each), switch is behind the grip, at the front of the loading/ejection opening. Switch can be centered to un-chamber a round without re-chambering.
-bottom ejecting and loading
-Available 2011
-MSRP not yet set

I'll have to admit, based on what I see here this is the first scattergun that I've actually gotten excited about. I like my 870 for the HD tool that it is but if this proves to be reliable, I might just got's to have one :)

I just hope the furniture is of higher-quality construction than some of Kel-Tec's other stuff. A 12-gauge that feels creaky does not inspire the greatest confidence.

I have got to admit, I have not been the biggest keltec fan, but with the RFB, PMR-30, PMR-30 carbine and now this. They are truly one of the few pioneering companies out there (even if they are borrowing heavily from other designs).

i can see law enforcement going for these. one mag you have buckshot, the other side you have bean bags or knee knockers or rubber bullets. sweet.....

And I can see the lawyers for said agencies preventing them from buying these guns for that exact reason. You never load less lethals and lethals in the same gun. You don't want to blow lil johnny's legs off when you meant to hit him with beanbag rounds.

+1 on that. The potential for selecting the wrong option is way, way too high.

Carrying a tube of buckshot and a tube of slugs, on the other hand, might be allowed depending on the department. Up here it would be nice for having your bear/moose dispatching ammo and two legged problem loads safely inside the gun and protected where they can't get knocked around in a side saddle and such if you're scrambling over fences and that sort of thing. Nicer than running a 870 a round down in the tube so you can load a slug immediately if needed.

I agree; Kel-Tec is one of the only companies left who are constantly trying to innovate, instead of just milking the AR-15/1911 craze for all it's worth. And they stand behind their product; what more can you ask, in the end?

Can't find any info on Keltec's website. If its in the affordable range i'll totally go for one. Also Gelgoog, whats the chance there will be a 3 inch chambered one? I'd totally like to have that ability even tho it'd mean probably giving up a couple rounds when loaded with 3 inch shells.

I hope it makes it thru and gets released and is nice, I was really intrigued by the design of the neostead pics I have seen before.

It should be in the $700 range. There is a pretty big post about it right now on KTOG (dedicated forum there also) which has info provided by a keltec employee. AR15.com has a discussion in the armory/shotgun section also. Nice to see Keltec doesn't just sit around!

But... but... where's the bead sight? Looks pretty awesome. If it's well done and not prone to breakage I'd be willing to pony up for one of those.

WAY too cool! Makes my High Standard 10B look like kid's toy (although it really is a serious firearm...)!
