I got a great deal on this Taurus PT92 AFS at the end of Last year.
Brand New in Box 2 Mags 17 Shot SS.....$375.00 out the door! :what: they were moving stuff end of year! (Gun was tagged $529.95)

Also Note that this one was a Matte finish which made me make an offer on it to begin with! Kinda caught my attention as opposed to the polished version.

Anyway... I usually dont look at pistols with accessory rails, but it was a killer buy (I think so anyway).

What are some of your thoughts on accessory railed handguns? I am thinking home defense set up with maybe light, laser and Pachmayr grips? just ideas.
Pachmayrs for sure! Love them things. :)

Took it out for a run today and it ran sweeet!

I like accessary rails. they aren't a deal breaker either way but I'd prefer them on a handgun. Bad things sometime happen at night and lights are a great tool. With that said you should read up a bit on the use of lights since you don't generally go walking all around your home with the flashlight on.

Unless you plan to carry it, where it greatly reduces your holster options, its easy to just ignore. I too prefer handguns not to have crap hanging off the front.

The accessory rail makes for some interesting options when it comes to OWB holsters or competition/open carry. And of course, it also means you can mount a bayonet if so inclined.

I've seen pictures of those handgun bayonets, and think I'd just as rather pack the handgun and a fighting knife. Separately they'd be easier to carry too. Not wanting to engage in knife fights anyway, I'd rather pack spare ammo (mags). :D

Of the three possible carry guns I have one has a rail with a light/laser combo mounted on it as a house gun. The light/laser comes off easily for carry, but at night in the house I want a two handed hold with a blinding light and a nice laser dot on any intruder.
