Do you know how many mortal enemies you made with just those two sentences?

It has been -9 deg. F and 22'' of snow then another 12'' with other 8'' i think so were loaded with snow. I WANT TO GO TO THE RANGE!!!!!! WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

replaced the buffer in my Buckmark, decapped some brass with my lee hand held, and drank WAY too much coffee.

Watched lots of the local news...Darwin on parade...I love how folk around here think they can drive in this stuff. Some folks got hurt and even some fatalities...and for that I am truly sorry as they do have families...but jeez...did they have to get out in this crud? People in this area just don't have experience with black-ice.

Read a lot of legal info relating to traveling with guns.

Tuned, waxed, and loaded SKS stripper clips for the ready bag. Ditto for the 8mm Mausers. Cleaned the Mausers (between the rolling blackouts). Sorted small parts into the new rolling tool chest.

I'm not going to do any reloading. It would get interrupted, which is a bad thing.

I did a trigger job on my K22 and then went out and cleaned snow off the roof, and then drove over to my father's place and shoveled his driveway.

I took my latest toy, a Tanfoglio 9mm two tone, with a SS slide and satin nickel frame apart and checked it over. I was going to clean it, but something came up and I had to stop and just spray a little CLP into the innards and I'll get back to it Sunday.

I went to work at midnight worked till 8am came home got some sleep, went back to work at 3am worked till 3pm the next day. I just love snow...NOT. Had to move that fluffy white crap off the city streets where I live. Gonna move to some place warm and no snow when I retire.

Reblued and reassembled a .22 marlin 60. The disassembly an polishing were done a couple weeks earlier. Also I mounted a BSA sweet 17 on my marlin .17 and loaded some 12ga. shells using pyrodex

No gun related things. Helped neighbors clear out their cars, helped some motorists in distress-I carry a full size shovel in the trunk.

We didn't catch much of it though I did find that fluffy snow drift at the end of my driveway Friday wasn't fluffy and spent 2 hrs digging it out. Not a bad deal really since I had a half day off scheduled and I didn't know when UPS would deliver my White Oak AR15 upper. I called and scheduled the rest of the day off since I wasn't going to make it in on time.

Once the upper showed up I started thinking about getting my gear ready to shoot CMP service rifle again when winter is over. It has been 10 years since I shot a Garand and money and free time got too tight.

Since I now had the weekend off, I tried out my old shooting coat and realized that I'm not size 44 anymore.

Then knowing that the anti's hate EBR's, I took that competition upper I ordered in pre-ban config now mated to a rock river lower and stuck a M8 bayonet on it and a 30 round mag in it. I'm sure that was like sticking a pin in a voodoo doll and I hope certain politicians felt the jab. I think I'd be more worried about the bullets than the knife but such is hysteria when it comes to the anti's. Rifle looks better w/o the bayonet and with a 20 round mag anyway.

Ordered a size 50 coat, didn't order a turner sling since the 54" one on my Garand is still serviceable, ordered 500 69g matchkings, open chamber indicator and some other bits.

Then I worked on the clubs website.

Tomorrow I start a 13 day in a row work period, I gotta pay for the toys.

I've been refinishing the wood on my Puma lever action .45 Colt. Got it stripped, sanded and bleached. Been hand rubbing Boiled Linseed Oil into the wood for over a week now. It needs to sit for a few days so it's good and dry, then I'm gonna hit it with rubbing compound followed by polishing compound after which i'll give it a good waxing down with paste wax a cuppla times. It should be ready to reassemble in about a week or so.

no snow here yet. just cold cold and more cold. i did get to go and shoot the 308 to day at 400 yards but a math mix up resulted in el-zilcho! the last snow we got i loaded up 271 rounds of 308, cleaned every gun i own twice, and reblued the barrel on my kimber eclipse. im not going to lie most of my time was spent at the reloading bench with a miller high life, watching redstate update on youtube.... and no i dont drink and reload/clean guns/handle firearms.
i just realy like setting at my reloading bench with a cold one!

Worked on the drawings for a golf ball mortar and a tennis ball cannon... both to be machined from ordnance steel and fired with black powder and fuse...

I've been doing the same thing as the OP, processing .308 brass (trimming, decrimping, etc.). While doing this, my mind wanders. I also shoot traditional muzzleloaders and from time to time think about how, by the time you actually factor in all the time spent processing and reloading modern center fire ammunition (tumbling, resizing, trimming, de priming, re-priming, de-burring, powder measuring, bullet seating, etc., etc., etc....) how much less total time is spent per shot shooting and reloading a flintlock (measure and pour powder, seat ball, prime and fire).

I asked my professor to leave class early because I had an appointment. What appointment? Had to go to the Sherriff's office to get my CHL. A shocked and stumbling "OK... that should be ok...you can take off" from the Professor was my response. Made me smile a little bit.

Reloaded 500 rounds of .45 ACP. Cleaned, sized, trimmed 400 cartridges of .223. Surfed the gun forums. Shoveled way too much snow!
