I'd like to start reloading Fed 327 Mag with lead bullets and moderate charge. My usual sources don't carry them in hard enough cast, and I don't think "cowboy action" bullet will work. Is there commercial caster who make these for moderate to full powder load?

I load 327 with my hand cast bullets, I do not cast "HARD", as a matter of fact my bullets are only about 11-12 BHN and I load to match factory ballistics. Look for someone that casts Lyman #311316, gas checked and sized .313. Google "Montana Bullet Works" or "Rim Rock Bullets". I don't know if MBC does them.
One very important factor that you did not mention is that bullet fit in chamber throat, forcing cone and bore is much more important than hardness, too hard can be a problem in and of itself.
My 311316 weighs 115/116 grains and I'm pushing it hard with heavy charges of A#9 and 2400. Haven't tried H-110 and may not. What I've got seems to be working very well.

I have done various experiments to find the max power for 32 S&W long, short of stuck cases.

I have found that 85 gr Hornady JHP driven with LIL'GUN or 800X are the best loads.

The 327 is nearly the same cartridge as the 32 S&W Long and the 32 H&R mag, and the same strategies should work.

I load 32s with my own cast bullets. Sizing them to match the gun is more important than being hard. A good lube helps a lot. Using Lee ALOX lube and .314" size and water-quenched range scrap bullets around 14 bhn I have no leading at all loaded up around 1000 fps in a couple of small pistols.

In post #2, I neglected to include the velocity that I'm achieving with my cast bullets in a 4" 327 Federal magnum revolver. With the 115 grain cast 311316 I'm regularly getting 1225 FPS at 12' from the muzzle. The 327 Federal Magnum is a hot number and 46000 PSI makes it the hot number that it is.

Penn bullets are very hard to beat and Robert Palermo is more than helpful, be patient it is worth the wait.
If you're in a hurry try the following;
Quality Cast Bullets in Stow, Ohio makes an excellent 98 g DEWC try it with AA#2, Bob is super nice and quick to ship.

Laser Cast makes a very nice 115 g FP, try it with Green Dot.

I have had great results out of my GP100. - gene
